Ever since i started using twitter on my iPhone, i’ve tried out a bunch of clients to help tweet. The list below is definitely not exhaustive but a few of the best clients that i’ve come across. I’m still not sure which one i would end up using longer term but am glad that these clients are always improving their feature set.
Tweetie (my favorite client thus far)
Pros
- Very simple and clean interface
- Desktop synchronization – available on the mac and iphone
Cons
- No windows version
- Basic functionality
- Doesn’t give an indication of @replies, direct messages versus tweet updates through the menu icon
- Freemium – pay $2.99 to get rid of ads
- No push notifications
- No autocomplete for @users
Tweetdeck (Best windows client)
Pros
- Available on windows, mac and iphone
- Excellent groups support
- Facebook integration
- Free
Cons
- Annoying on the mac since its an adobe air application and shuts the application on clicking close
- Groups are a little annoying to use on the iphone
- No push notifications
Twittelator Pro (I use this currently)
Pros

- Autocomplete for @users
- Video uploads
Cons
- Learning curve required to take advantage of all its features
- Have not discovered most of the features they provide
- Expensive – $4.99
- Best search
- No push notifications
SimplyTweet (trying this right now)
Pros
- Push notifications
- Feature rich – http://motionobj.com/simplytweet/
- Instapaper support
- Recommended by @scobleizer
Cons
- Expensive – $4.99
- No desktop support
